Corrections policy
How we correct factual errors, clarify wording, and preserve an article's transparency.
Effective: 6 August 2026
Version: 2026-08-06
Last review: 5 August 2026
What counts as a material correction
- an incorrect document status or decision-making body;
- an error in a date, number, deadline, threshold, or affected group;
- a source that does not support the key claim;
- wording that changes the practical meaning of the conclusion.
How a correction is shown
A material correction receives a visible note stating its date and briefly describing the change in meaning. Spelling, style, and technical edits that do not change meaning may be made without a separate entry.
